The Domaine Impérial is a private club. Membership begins with the acquisition of a share in the holding company “S.A. du Domaine Impérial” (information on availability of shares can be obtained in the Secretariat). Since all issued shares are now in private hands, acquisition is a matter of negotiation between the parties – prices are not fixed and vary according to demand and availability. The list of shares for sale held by the Secretariat frequently indicates the price suggested by the owner for the transaction. Shares can be acquired by physical persons and by corporations.

Once agreement has been reached between the shareholder and the prospective member, the latter must submit a membership application together with a short letter with background information on the candidate. The application must be seconded by two current members and approved by the club Committee.

In addition to playing membership, it is also possible to become a passive member with full access to club facilities.

Another alternative is to become a temporary playing member by “renting” a share from an existing shareholder. The Secretariat also maintains a list of shares available for this purpose.

In recognition of the investments made over the years in the club course and club facilities, a separate fee is payable to the club by the new shareholder before the transaction can be registered.
